Big Fogg designs, installs and sells Misting Systems for air conditioning systems and air-cooled refrigeration. When these Misting systems are used to pre-cool air intake for industrial air conditioners and evaporative coolers, performance of the existing air conditioning units can be enhanced while dramatically reducing the cost of operation by as much as 20% to 30%. This reduction is accomplished because the Misting System reduces the compressor load and the head pressure, it reduces unit cycling and the resulting energy required to operate.

To increase power output and efficiency in air-cooled condensers, the High-Pressure Mist is applied at the condenser coil air inlet. The cooler air intakes reduce the compressor load, the head pressure unit cycling and the resulting energy required to operate the air conditioning unit.

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration System can consume up to 75% of a typical building’s energy usage. As temperatures increase, Air Conditioning Systems will dramatically increase energy usage which under new electrical generation billing can be quite expensive. In extreme heat, Air Conditioning Systems will not only operate longer and draw more power as they run. This risks excessive ambient loads on the condensing coil and even outright shutting down.

Big Fogg introduces its Air Conditioning Misting Systems that’s reduces energy usage and makes the system operate more efficiently. The High-Pressure Misting systems operate on 1,000 PSI, producing an extremely small water droplet that uses the principal “flash evaporation” reducing the temperature without getting the coils noticeably wet. This Misting System lowers the temperature of the air surrounding the condenser. At a lower ambient temperature the condensers cooling capacity increases and the systems operate more efficiently. As the head pressure falls, the saturated liquid temperature also falls and cooling capacity increases. Therefore, the air conditioning system does not have to operate as long to satisfy the load and energy use is reduced. Reduced head pressure lengthens compressor life, increase cooling reliability, and lower maintenance cost and lower life of the conditioner.

Big Fogg will design a High-Pressure Misting System for each Roof Top Unit. These systems can be simply the Misting System or as complex as the job requires. Big Fogg can include a state of the art reverse osmosis unit, temperature controller and final water sterilizing UV purifier. Our Air Conditioning Pre-Cooling Misting Systems can include controlled sensors, including timers, humidistats and thermostats allowing for effective pre-cooling without excessive moisture. By using an integrated reverse osmosis and UV water treatment, deposits and corrosion are eliminated at the coil face. Big Fogg sensors and relays control the High-Pressure Misting Pump and may sure that minimum water usage.

Big Fogg Pre-Cooling Misting systems reduce the energy usage that leads to decreases in demand. Benefits include reduced maintenance costs, increased cooling capacity, and reduced energy usage during normal and peak times. Most importantly it reduces the overall electrical bill from the electrical company. This is a great investment because it will pay for itself in a short amount of time and continue to reduce energy and maintenance costs for years to come.
